Oliver Zimmermann is a Berlin-based filmmaker and video artist working at the intersection of documentary, performance art, and experimental cinema.

His work explores myth, identity, and creative exile through poetic, immersive storytelling. He shoots with multimedia, blending observational intimacy with dreamlike textures.

Current projects include THE FOUR CORNERSTONES OF IRELAND, a poetic documentary about collective imagination and myth-making in rural Ireland, and ORPHANS, a portrait series following international artists in Berlin and Paris.

Oliver's background includes documentary work for Channel 4, BBC, The Guardian, and the United Nations, with projects addressing social justice, displacement, and marginalised voices. He lived and worked on the island of Lesvos during the refugee crisis, producing a body of work focused on identity and the movement of people.

He graduated with First Class Honours in Time Based Media and an MA in Media Screenwriting from the School of Art Media and Design in Bristol. He is based in Berlin and works internationally.
